The Glass Atelier
A closet with the feel of a favorite boutique, where handbags are on display and everything has its place.
The Glass Atelier brings the feeling of a private boutique into the client’s home. With the closet layout already established, Design House of Alexandra joined the project to develop the finishing details, including custom glass doors. Clear glass lets the handbag collection remain part of the room, giving the client a place to enjoy their favorite pieces even before choosing what to wear.

Before the custom doors were made, we helped the client picture the space through 3D visualizations. The rendering shows how the glass finishes would sit alongside the cabinetry, central island, and lighting, with clothing and accessories in place. It gave the client a clearer sense of the finished room and helped us work through the details together.
Set across two stories, this closet called for custom doors made to the cabinetry’s exact dimensions, with some reaching up to 10 feet tall. Clear glass was chosen for handbag displays, while mirrored glass keeps clothing out of view and reflects the room around it. Slim frames give the doors a light appearance, and the enclosed storage helps protect the collection from everyday dust.
